I don’t know why but I’ve been wanting me some palazzo pants lately. It must be Auckland’s fall moist that got me craving for these pants. There’s enough wind to lessen the heat but hot enough for something silky and soft. I believe, with the right fabric and color, palazzo pants can be worn day to night, casual to formal. When I was still in the Philippines, mani and pedi had been a monthly thing for me and my auntie. Even going to a Catholic school with a rule not allowing students to have colored nails, I still got away with a transparent coating just to make my nails look shiny. Everywhere I look online – from fashion blogs, instagram and pose apps, magazine websites – everything featured and photographed are all things summer. Shorts, skirts, dresses, platform heels, sandals, bikinis… they’re everywhere and it made me crave for summer. Being on the other side of the world (or the lower side of the world, rather) seasons are reversed.
